Pre-history

The Erasmus Program is a Sector Program under the “Lifelong Learning” Program of the Direction General “Education” of the European Commission in Brussels. This Program is the successor of the “Socrates” program, which expired in 2007. At the University of Forestry, the beginning was laid with the Tempus Program for international cooperation in the field of Higher education. Under Tempus, a project was developed and coordinated under the number S_JEP 12479-97 with the title Development of Furniture Design Education in the period of 1995-96.

Partners under Erasmus+ are different HEI-s (Higher Education Institutions), with which we exchange students and implement different collaborative initiatives in the field of Higher education.

Programme “Erasmus+”

This is the new program of the European Union (EU) in the field of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020 with the aim of improving skills and employability as well as modernizing of education, training and work with young people.

Erasmus+ will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad.

Erasmus+ unified seven existing EU programs in the field of education, training and youth; and for the first time it will support actions in the field of sport.

As an integrated programme, Erasmus+ offers more opportunities for cooperation across the Education link to another EC website, Training link to another EC website, Youth link to another EC website, and Sport link to another EC website sectors and is easier to access than its predecessors, with simplified funding rules.

The Erasmus+ Office at the University of Forestry has the task to renew the Financial Agreement for Student Mobility and Teaching Staff Mobility with the “Human Resources Development Center”.
